Children and Youth receive
    Individual Counseling
  A one-on-one counseling for children and youth who have been abused themselves. The focus is on safety planning, feelings, exploration and personal expression.
  Individual counseling services are provided for children and youth ages four to 17 years, for children close to the age of four (assessment can be scheduled to determine the appropriateness and effectiveness of counseling; an intake with a parent is required prior to the first counseling session.), and for those not residing in the shelter (non-residential). The parent does not have to be a client of LACASA for children to receive individual counseling services.
 
Group Counseling
  Support and activity-based group counseling is provided for children and youth who have been abused.
  Group counseling services are provided for children and youth up to age 17, for non-residents and residents of shelter. The parent does not have to attend an adult group in order for the child to attend this group.
 
Support Group for Domestic Violence:

Monday Howell 6:00 - 7:30pm
Thursday Howell 10:00 - 11:30am

  A support group for teenage survivors of sexual assault is available for more information or to register call .
 
4-H Club / Recreational Activities Program
  An activity-based group is offered where children can work on crafts such as woodworking, ceramics, sewing, etc. Focus is on self expression and having fun.
  4-H Club services are provided for children and youth age six to 17 years who have witnessed domestic violence or sexual assault. Services are available to residents and non-residents of the shelter. Parent does not have to receive LACASA services in order for the child to attend this group.
